Meal Plan Tips

These tips help reduce food prep time and minimize waste by repurposing leftovers.

  • This week features two pork tenderloin recipes. For larger families, plan to cook extra tenderloins (two per recipe) and buy two packs total. For a family of four with average appetites, one pack should suffice.
  • Sweet potatoes appear frequently this week. Use leftover sweet potato taco filling for lunch burritos, or add mashed sweet potato to oatmeal for a cozy breakfast.
  • Cook extra bacon for both the bacon-wrapped pork and the spinach salad; leftover bacon works great in turkey club wraps.
  • Make a batch of hard‑boiled eggs to use in egg salad for lunches and to top the spinach bacon salad.

∗ How to Use Meal Plans ∗

Each meal plan includes a printable guide with a shopping list and practical tips to save time and decrease food waste. Plans are built around seasonal produce whenever possible.

To get the most from a meal plan:

  • Print the meal plan and pin it to your fridge. Print or open each recipe while you build your grocery list so you have ingredients and instructions handy at dinner time.
  • Open recipe links in new tabs so you can access them all while preparing meals. Use the “jump to recipe” links and the ingredient checkboxes to mark what you already have, making shopping quicker.
  • Review the meal plan notes for time-saving tips and the included grocery list. Grocery lists assume common pantry spices are on hand and focus on the dinner ingredients.
