Many of you tried multiple recipes and several entries showed truly impressive decorating skills. I loved seeing every single submission — connecting with the Bake Club community was one of my favorite parts of 2019, and I’m excited to keep the momentum going into 2020.

The January 2020 Bake Club Challenge Recipe:
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Yes, it’s January and many of us are trying to eat healthier after the holidays. Still, winter can feel long and a little comfort food goes a long way. For me, a warm, gooey, buttery cinnamon roll is exactly what I want on a cold morning. We haven’t featured a yeast-based recipe as a Bake Club challenge yet, and these cinnamon rolls — with an optional overnight rise — are a perfect introduction.
The January Bake Club Prize:
Le Creuset 5-Piece Utensil Set with Crock — winner’s choice of color. These silicone spatulas and a pastry brush are heat resistant up to 500°F and are useful for all kinds of baking. The set shown is Caribbean blue; there are multiple color options and the winner may choose their preferred color.
If you already have more spatulas and brushes than you need, let me know if you’re selected and I’ll offer a couple of alternate prize options.

How to participate in the January Bake Club Challenge
- Sign up for the Bake Club. If you’ve signed up before, there’s no need to register again. You’ll get an email each month announcing the new challenge and prize. This is how I’ll contact the winner, so please provide your name and email when signing up.
- Bake this month’s challenge and share a photo. Take a picture of your cinnamon rolls and post it to Instagram with the tag #OfBatterAndDoughBakeClub. You can also upload your photo to the Of Batter and Dough Facebook page or email it to [email protected]. Submitting a photo automatically enters you to win. Make sure to bake and submit your photo before February 1st.
