Lemon Ginger Infused Honey Remedy

Lemon Ginger Infused Honey – A Sore Throat Remedy
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest zest of 1 lemon
- 1 Tbsp grated ginger root
- 1 cup liquid honey
Instructions
-
Add the lemon zest and grated ginger to a small, sealable 1-cup jar.
-
Pour the honey over the zest and ginger and stir until combined. If the honey is too thick, warm it gently over a pot of hot water so it pours easily.
-
Seal the jar and let it infuse for 5–10 days in a cool, dark place.
-
You can use the infused honey right away, and it will keep for several months when stored properly.
-
After about ten days, strain the honey through a fine sieve if you prefer to remove the zest and ginger. This step is optional—lemon and ginger can remain in the jar.
Notes
To prepare a soothing drink, combine:
- 1 Tbsp lemon-ginger infused honey
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup hot water
Let the drink steep in a tall mug for about 2 minutes, then sip slowly.
While you’re making a batch, consider preparing an extra jar to give as a thoughtful gift for friends and family.
